t-lok for traction, get gears for acceleration.....cause if you get gears later, u have to have them installed to the t-lok, which is a waste of about ~$400

$400 for gears and labor? I'd just get the gears and put them in myself. I just got through replacing bearings and seals in my wife's '66 7". I try to do all my own work with the exception of automatic transmissions and engine overhauls (although I was pretty close to an overhaul on my wife's '66 Mustang)

wasn't sure how mechanically inclined u are, but $400 is about the cost of install for gears and t-lok installation...was sayin if ur gonna do one, might as well do the other at the same time to save some time and money....i got mine from Stangmods.com as a package and saved some cash.....

Yeah I saw the kit. Thanks. I still have to pay for my exhaust on the next credit card bill before I get anything else. All in all its nearly a third of the price of a new rear end. I'm not going to be using the car at the track and the most I'd do is play a little on the street. I'm still not sure I want 3.73s but I still have time to sort that one out. And I thought I was just about through modding my stang.
