Order #
pics or it ain't real
Dealerships play games like that all the time. They probably found the car immediately, but didn't want to let you know. This is based on consumer laziness. They are hoping you won't do any legwork and find the car yourself. Then they can order your vehicle and make a quick easy sell...or, they are hoping to upsell you to a GT or higher premium V-6 model they have on hand.
good luck, hope you get/got a good price on the car

2. Stroking you.
I got the same thing pulled on me when looking for the Challenger.

Its a 'finders fee' of sorts for the dealership thats in actual possession
of the vehicle.
3. Avoid that stealer ship. Print the info on the vehicle thats 20 miles
away and rub it into their faces (once they actually get to work).
Then be sure and drive thru the lot a few times real slow with your
new stang from dealership 20 miles away... Give them the finger as
to say, I am #1.

Call and tell them why you are not going to buy from them.
Be sure and not mention the VIN of the vehicle you found
or they might go ****** it up so you will HAVE to buy from them.
