Default 2011 V6 Airbag light on

Hey all,

I noticed the driver's side airbag light come on the other day while driving. Took it in and they said that one of the cables under the seat had become unplugged. Issue solved.

Fast forward to today. I got the car detailed and me being 6'7" and the employees being much shorter, my seat was moved up. When I picked the car up, I had to move the seat all the way back, causing the light to come on again. I called my service rep and he said that the cable probably doesn't have enough slack due to the slit in the carpet not being large enough.

Question is, anyone know which cable it is that needs to be reconnected? It's a tight squeeze and the cables that I do see don't seem to be unplugged. I've looked online, but can't seem to find an answer. Any help appreciated.

It connects to the middle of the seat bottom tight fit indeed!

Is it the biggest one visible from behind the seat? I thought that one was plugged in all the way, I guess I can check again.

Thanks for the reply.

So, I took the car back to Ford. They discovered that it was the passenger airbag this time causing the warning to trigger. Ford engineering is baffled by this behavior and they are requesting that my airbags be removed and sent in for investigation, while they replace my airbags with new ones. Four days without the car on such a nice weekend.

I hate rental cars.

You gotta do what you gotta do! I'd rather them swap them then them malfunction or not go off at all.

Absolutely. I'm all for safety. Just wish they didn't give me a Chevy HHR for the weekend.

Yeah, at least they're taking care of the issue for you.
