New to the site (great site btw!).

I have spent entirely too long in the search mode within the forums and just seem to get more confused the more I read.

The wife's daily driver is an 06 V6 coupe with about 90,000 miles on it. Front ball joints have play and need replaced (needs alignment as it's eating tires).

My question is simply can I replace the factory ball joints with aftermarket ones (Moog)? or do I have to replace the factory control arms also?

I have had two different shops give me two different answers and I have found both answers within the forums?

Factory ride height is required due to the roads we live on so no interest in lowering the car.
