So this is where it was leaking. this big open slot on the side of the pump. what the heck is this for? the new pump did not have this.

I also stripped out one of the bolt holes on the bottom. I don't feel like i applied too much pressure but it just gave way and reamed it out. Will this be a problem and besides re tapping the whole to a larger size is there any repair?

What's it for? so it can fail early and make you replace it.

...that sucks...at least you found and corrected the issue

well mission accomplished. i almost with i just couldn't fill the slot with some jb weld and call it a day
