Also lots of people's cars have sentimental value or may already have things done to their car, why start over?
That's why I always feel like putting a different family mill altogether IF you can swing it.
The uniqueness would be the goal here.
Taking a sixxer and turn it into a GT isn't worthy to me, or getting a GT is the same if you're gonna be stuck with payments or start over like you said.
Might as well keep the V6 and make it go fast at this point, which is fine by me.

man so many options, i wanna make my sixxer unique and fast, like procharger with a gt500 tranny, but i wanna get a v8 just for the sound of one and all. Or i can just buy a challenger rt six speed etc etc. But i just love my car to much.

Obviously the 5.4. If you are going through the huge, involved, and drawn out process of swapping the engine/trans/etc, you might as well get the most power for your effort.

Don't get me wrong, the Chally is a cool car with plenty enough power in the SRT8 trim or whatever.
If it was smaller and lighter, I'd have one.

what about one of the new v6 out of the 2011/12 models that give 300hp (not sure of the actual rwhp) and better fuel millage than the 05-10 v6

Go big or go hame, just make the sixer as fast as you safely can and live with it, you'll still be happy.
