When I mentioned gasket, I meant any seals :P O-rings, etc...

I did the same and mine is a different car...clean that TB! I cleaned the Mass Air Sensor also.

MAF should be clean at lease once a months, will make the engine run better. Ford didn't make a self cleaning MAF. :P

And If you have a K&N filter w oil, that can get on MAF sensor also.

Please add me to the group that learned the value of cleaning the TB and MAF. The TB was very dirty. It took a 1/2 an hour and a fine tooth brush, but it paid off. I sprayed and sprayed until the metal was clean. The MAF was much easier, just a quick spray or two and all was cleaned. Any idea on what a garage might have charged?

IIRC, someone posted that the dealership charged in the neighborhood of $60 for the TB cleaning.
