a/c gets hot at high speed
Everything works fine in the morning but in the afternoon when its hot and Im driving on the highway car starts overheating and a/c will start blowing warm air. Checked the coolant and its fine. Water pump is only a year old. What else could cause this?

Define 'overheating'.
Bad A/C clutch.
Bad ClimateControl Module.
Loss of freon from damaged condensor.
Bad stepper motors in the plenum.
A multitude of things.
But not the coolant level or the water pump...
Thats a heater thing, not an A/C thing.

He gave you the service manual link to trouble-shoot.
Can you verify the A/C compressor is actually on during this?
Fan come on?
etc....

In addition, afraid he is wrong on the coolant/water pump front. Your A/C will be disabled by the PCM if it senses your coolant/engine temp is excessive.

Assuming this is the problem, and it is still a large assumption, then:
I would first look to the fan,
flushing the system,
then if it still occurs (overheating), looking at the pump/flow again.
Hopefully, not a head-gasket issue...
If it's only occuring at high speed, I'd check your oil level first of all. After that, if the coolant is good, you've likely got some kind of flow issue(thermostat, blockage in radiator, air, or a weak pump), radiator isn't getting enough air for some reason, or a head-gasket is failing. Those are the only things I can think of that would cause this (without MIL/codes thrown).

• The engine coolant temperature is not excessively
high.
• The PCM has not detected a wide open throttle
(WOT) condition.
