Radio wont turn off!

Josh, as mentioned above, this may be a voltage issue as the S197's are very persnikity about proper voltage and the charging systems are barely of marginal quality and capacity. Have the battery and alternator load tested. Many gremlins have been associated with degraded/degrading alternators and/or batteries. The degradation of one often leads to the degradation of the other in this model.
But if that's not the problem, then you may want to check the front passenger carpet by the kickpanel for moisture after the car has sat out in heavy rain.

Thanks guys but for whatever reason it seems to be okay again. Hard to isolate the problem when it isn't consistent. If it happens again I will do a little more tinkering and see what I can come up with, but for now im just happy that its working right. Such a terrible feeling when your beloved car starts to have an issue or gets a ding! haha
Take care guys

suspest a sticking ACC DELAY relay in the SJB
or the good ol wet corroded SJB syndrome.
BTW, opening the drivers door will reset the Accessory Delay feature.
Pronto. Not locking the door or walking away but just
opening the drivers door. Maybe a bad drivers door open switch?
Does the dome light work correctly (comeon with the door open)
when this happens? Does opening the passengers side door
reset the Accessory Delay feature when this problem happens?

2007 Mustang Convertible
Just brought mine out of storage from my heated garage. Battery is fully charged and fine. I take my keys out of the car now and the radio wont shut off untill it kills my battery. No sure what other source of power it would be using. I had no issues before being put up for the winter. I take the keys out and usually everything shuts down after you open the door..now power stays on?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I had something like this happen when I had the radio out to clean it and when I hooked it back up the lights on the radio stayed on and it stayed hot. All I did was took it out again and unplugged everything and plugged it back in just to make sure it was hooked up right and tested it worked fine after that. Could be a loose connection or one of the power wires was shorting I would think.
