The degradation of one often leads to the degradation of the other in this model.

But if that's not the problem, then you may want to check the front passenger carpet by the kickpanel for moisture after the car has sat out in heavy rain.
This makes sense to me. If your car (an 08) has the original battery than its getting due for replacement. Might even be as simple as cleaning up the battery terminals if the battery has been replaced already. Water leak over the smart junction box would be worth checking too.

Such a terrible feeling when your beloved car starts to have an issue or gets a ding! haha

Take care guys
Since it only happens occasionally I would
suspest a sticking ACC DELAY relay in the SJB
or the good ol wet corroded SJB syndrome.

BTW, opening the drivers door will reset the Accessory Delay feature.
Pronto. Not locking the door or walking away but just
opening the drivers door. Maybe a bad drivers door open switch?
Does the dome light work correctly (comeon with the door open)
when this happens? Does opening the passengers side door
reset the Accessory Delay feature when this problem happens?

Default 2007 Mustang Convertible

Just brought mine out of storage from my heated garage. Battery is fully charged and fine. I take my keys out of the car now and the radio wont shut off untill it kills my battery. No sure what other source of power it would be using. I had no issues before being put up for the winter. I take the keys out and usually everything shuts down after you open the door..now power stays on?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I had something like this happen when I had the radio out to clean it and when I hooked it back up the lights on the radio stayed on and it stayed hot. All I did was took it out again and unplugged everything and plugged it back in just to make sure it was hooked up right and tested it worked fine after that. Could be a loose connection or one of the power wires was shorting I would think.

Just wondering as the radio switches off when you open the door normally, would there be a possible fault with the door switch?
