Shifter interlock stuck

Default Shifter interlock stuck

Hello. First time poster. My daughter's 2005 4.0 auto is having an issue with the shifter being stuck in park. Along with this, the front right and rear right blinker lights do not operate but the arrow on the dash blinks really fast. Bulbs are recently new. Same goes for the right stop light. I'm going to start with the brake light switch and go from there. Any suggestions on what this issue might be? Thank you.

interlocker being stuck could be the brake light switch on the brake pedal isn't working correctly. If safety switch doesn't get a signal from the brake pedal switch, it won't release the interlock. To bypass it temporarily, there's an emergency override. to the right of the shifter on the frame.

Bulbs being new mean nothing if they are the wrong part numbers. Fast blink means one or more bulbs are burnt out or not working correctly, thus they won't turn on.
