When TF&TF came out in theaters every jackass in the theater went and got in their rice burners and were reving them up in the parking lot. I jump in my Gas hog and just kicked it over and it was louder at idle than they were at 5,000 RPM rev. I even took down 3 guys who thought they could take me, and was pissed I didn't have the ex videotape the race going down route 33 in Allentown. I even had the camera in the car.

When i had my 04 GT i just laughed at the Rice burners, now with a V6 I am little on the quiet side, but I will start to get ballsy once I get some mods under the hood. =)

 

I had a similar experience while researching a power-adder for my cousins 2.0L Jetta.. all the punk kids on the forum said "why mod a 2.SLOW, get a 1.8T"... sound familiar *cough GT owners cough*.. I couldn't believe it, self-hating 4-banger communities.. a sub-200 horse power 4 banger with a ****ty factory turbo was making fun of the thought of adding a turbo kit to a 2.0L application.. WOW.

 

lol my v6 (stock) smokes all the ricers around here....i mean you can only make a 1.2L engine go so fast lol

 

It's funny how ricers are the same pretty much everywhere you go.

They all have fart cans and cold air intake and a huge wing and they want to race everything they can find.

Once i get my GT in i'll have to be careful i don't run into something laughing so hard when i have a civic pull up next to me and want to race. I know it will happen too.

Heck even in my Z71 i get rice trying to race me. which it is fun making a high schooler look dumb in front of his GF by getting waisted by a big heavy 4X4 truck haha.

like i said before i'm not hating on rice there are some very nice performance imports like the WRX STI that will hold there own.

I don't like anyone who's all talk no go.

 

Since I got my car about six months ago everyone wants to race me. Here is a list of the cars that I have raced, some were serious, and some for just kicks.
1. 2004 Honda Civic = Destroyed it
2. 2005 GTO = Beat it because he missed a shift
3. 2006 GTO = Didnt really go, he would have killed me
4. 2dr. Ram HEMI = Barely lost
5. 2003 Eclipse GTS = Killed it
6. 1990 Geo Storm = Dominated it
7. 2001 Camaro SS = He beat me
8. My GF's 1999 Cavalier = Killed her
9. 2000 Mazda Miata = Beat it
10. POS 95 Galant w/Green underglow = Destroyed it
11. 2003 Eclipse GT = Killed him

After I save up for a turbo I will start messing with some more serious cars.

I will race pretty much anything just for the hell of it, and to see what my car could do against it.

Don't know why or how I found this forum, but Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that a v6 eclipse could beat a v6 mustang. I raced an 03 about a month back. His was automatic and this was b4 I put in my Exedy Stage one Clutch kit so I had an almost usless clutch and a cracked flywheel. He had an automatic. I beat him by a couple of cars. Not many though it is hard to tell on the video cause it is pretty dark. But I have almost 250 HP in mine right now(non turbo, non Nitrous) Although i'll let you guys know that my #! guy to beat... the only one of my friends w/ a faster car than me.... is a mustang owner. 05 GT though. Things fast, but i keep making him have to step on it jst a little more w/ each new mod i get. lol one of these days. Well later. good luck w/ your discussion on how ****ty eclipses are.)

OHHHH **** HERE WE GO AGAIN

 

A manual v6 <GT, GTS> last gen Eclipse would be a good matchup for a Mustang v6, particularly a manual...esp from the roll which imports love, they're high 14-low 15 cars stock. An auto v6 Eclipse, no chance, they're dogs.

LMAO!!! "Good ol Japanese Muscle " wow that has to be the worse line i have ever heard. There is nothing muscle about japanese cars, their engines can fit in my trunk....and my engine on the other hand is as big as their cars! now i am not saying who is faster and what not, i am just saying that thats an insult to american made muscle.
