nope, no sanding was required when i did it.....i'm telling you, the knife i used to cut the bumper cover cut like hot knife through butter (i may be exaggerating a bit but i'm sure u get my point). dont think any knife will do it as clean but a good sharp one like i used will do just nicely.

fellas, fellas, fellas........if you use a very sharp utility knife (box cutter with brand new blade) you will get a much cleaner cut the first time. it would be a good idea to create a template from the passenger side then mark an outline for the driver side like the the other guy did in his demo but when it comes to actual cutting, use the sharp knife.....no need to use anything else. the curve is easy to follow with the knife. i didn't even use a template and i got it to match the passenger side pretty darn good (muffler shop was surprised i did it myself). i'm sure you guys will do a good job cutting it as long as you take the proper preparations.....if your not comfortable doing it then you could find someone you trust to do it (unless you want the GT bumper cover).

It was not to hard to cut the curved part. Like the pictures illistrate on my web site, you may want to take a few practice runs before you start it all. With the box cutter, I felt like I was going to make some wild cuts. Mine came out pretty clean with the moto tool, you just have to use a file to even it out when your done.
