Default magnaflow duals info

Yes i searched the forums but there isnt much info on them. I just wanted to know is there anything that i should know about them ie: hard to install, performance, sound, etc. They are supposed to come in tomorrow. Also how long did the install take and did you end up cutting your bumper later?

I love mine, the sound is great and performance is great too. They may not be as deep sounding as some of the others, but I didnt want something too loud. It cost me $550 to install and that included them notching my bumper. It only took them maybe 3 hours I would say, but I am very pleased with them.

i got JBA Duals but installation time was about an hour at the shop i took mine. so depending on the autotechs, installation time will vary. so u know, i had the exhaust installed first then went home and notched out the bumper myself. i did this so that i could make sure my notch lined up nicely to the driver side exhuast. they even let me bring it in again to adjust the mufflers so they looked nice and straight. costed me $100 for installation. also, dont feel nervous about cutting the notch yourself if ur thinking about it. the bumper cover is soft and a good sharp utility knife cuts it like butter. i only did it myself cuz i'm a little **** about details and was afraid the shop was gonna do a half-*** cutting job on my baby.

Burdweiser did it, I will have to find his post on it. I had my installed by someone else, and wish I didn't. After seeing how easily he put it on I kicked myself and could have saved $100 bucks. I'll see if I can dig up the thread.

yes, check out my site, I have info on the install there. I'm still trying to find time to make some decent sound clips... maybe next weekend. One note, it is a little hard to get the drivers side pipe to stay away from the spare tire well. I suggest placing something in between the pipe and spare tire well before you tighten everything. It may take a couple of time for you to get them just even. Here is a helpful thread as well, it will help you cut your bumper... https://mustangforums.com/m_555524/m.../tm.htm#555524

I had a shop install mine. I had them installed BEFORE I put on a GT bumper. They charged about $100 to install it originally. After I put on the GT bumper, they had a LOT of problems moving the pipes into the cutouts. Apparently the GT bumper and the V6 bumper are different sizes and the cutouts are a bit higher up. They had to add in some piping, make a couple bends, etc. It ended up costing me about $300 more in labor to make them look right. Overall, I am very satisfied. Heres a closeup pic...

I think its much easier and cost efficient to just notch out the original V6 bumper. You can cut the bumper according to where the muffler tip exits and have less hassle adjusting the exhuast to fit the hole on a GT bumper. from what i read, there seems to be a lot of cases where the V6 dual kits are not lining up with the GT bumper. it looks like more money is being spent to correct this than originally planned........this is just my opinion and not tryin to start any arguments but why would people use GT parts on their V6? (GT bumper, GT fog lights for example).......we have V6's and i wouldnt want to look silly to try to fool people who dont know everything about the new stangs into thinking i have a GT. thats why ford came out with the pony grill so that it distinguishes itself from the GT grill with fog lights and also new wheels for the pony package......maybe this could be an interesting debate in a new thread (there is a very good one going on in the 4.6 forum about "RICER" looking stangs)......i just think duals looks very nice on the stock V6 bumper with the notched out hole.....keeps it from "trying" to look like a GT....the day i want my stang looking just like a GT, i will go and buy an actual GT.....i will get pics posted of my notched out bumper with duals tonight or 2morrow for any who are interested.
