I was actually wondering something like that also i guess? I have a shaker 500 but would want to purchase a used ... shaker 1000 head unit but... By doing this at the time upgrade my other speakers and get a sub and amp... The reason why I want to keep the stock looking unit is becuase I eventually wanna get an interior dressup kit and I like the nice clean look of the Shaker... If i were to go after market id probably go w/ an lcd touch screen or something tho, lol... I also have the P.I.E ipod adapter in my shaker so i could save some money usin the shaker 1000 head unit.

This is for the guys that put the amp in their car...I bought an amp and I'm running the battery cable to the battery... Where is the easiest way to go through the firewall? Before I drill through it is there a plug im not seeing that I can just go through??
