Default Resurfacing wheels...?

Did some searching but couldn't find anything. I just bought some black fr500's with the polished lip. The polished lip has what looks like "curb rash" but I'm pretty certain it's from the machine that was used to mount the tires on the wheels. My question is, is it possible to have them resurfaced/repolished? Can I do this myself? I just want to get rid of the "curb rash" look. Thanks in advance for any help.

I also have minor curb rash on the lip of the stock wheels on my '03 mach. Sanding away the roughness is what comes to mind first but i'm concerned about rust.

Your wheels are aluminum alloy. They are not going to rust

Take some emery cloth an sand them down, then use fine grit to sand it down and have it polished...

yes, alloys wheels do not rust. so no worries there. Give this number here a call and ask for a guy named Jeff Banker. We are a really big rim and tire seller so we have a lot of rims get messed up and these guys always take good care of us. they are nationwide too. So chances are they might be one near you that you can swing by and show them the rim and they can either give you some tips or do it for you pretty inexpensively. Tell Jeff that you were referred by david from Bones and they might give you the hook up on price since we do so much with them. 404 296 4827. hope this helps. Good luck.
