New set of wheels: 17x9 & 17x10 10th Anniversary Cobras by OE Wheels
Here's some pics of the new wheels on my 96 GT, as the title says.
Stock wheels:
New (try to ignore the rain, Ohio weather is lame):
I ordered the rims from OE Wheels, GREAT guys to deal with, great service, got the wheels within 5 business days (I did pay the extra $19 for expedited shipping). The wheels are fantastic, great quality, great finish, but...honestly, I'm having second thoughts on my choice of rims. The chrome is much flashier than I tend to go for, and something just seems off about the look of the wheels on my car. The front tires are 245/45s (too narrow, definitely need 265s, but I had this pair of brand new Falken 512 245/45s that I was trying to get more use out of) and the rear tires are 285/40s, so it might be at least in part because the front tires are just way too narrow and don't look right, and then I think I need to get some different center caps, chrome to match the rims probably. I love the deep dish rears, and the width of the 285/40s looks BA!
Anyway, thanks to Scott at OE Wheels for being a great person to work with and for throwing in a set of chrome lugs w/ locks for free!

They look perfect on that model. Hug improvment over image number one. Our new center caps are being manufactured right now and will be in soon. We appreciate your business and taking the time to post images. I think the wheels look great on you vehicle. If you have time please post in our oe wheels review thread. Thanks again for posting. Lance - Thanks for the compliments, I appreciate it, and thank you for a great product! The wheels themselves are fantastic, top notch quality, no complaints with the wheels themselves. Unfortunately, I'm just not positive they're the right match for my car, and that's nothing you guys have any control over or responsibility for. I'll post pics over in the review board when I get a chance.
BA - You may be right, getting the car cleaned, shined up, and in the sun should make it pop a lot more. I'm not done with them yet, still too early to say for sure, but the look isn't quite what I had envisioned. We'll see.
