Cervinis hood questions

Pascal,
Does removing the drip pans beneath the extractors to make them "Functional" have any adverse effect on the engine from rain and the like?

I've been thinking about one of the Cervinis hoods. Good to hear about their quality.

I don't think so but it'll be hard to keep a clean engine if you have a lot of eye candy under the hood.
