If its off of a GT, you'll have to change the flange. The V6 is a flat flange with more holes in it. It also has a raised area to center the drive shaft. I ended up with the GT axle from New Take Off and it is clearly stated in the description. The GT flange will not accept the V6 drive shaft as it looks like the attached photo. Check out Speed Concepts' photo of the Cobra Pinion Flange. That Ford part number is good and like I said in the last post, cost the same. Hope you have a lift, a transmission jack and some extra hands, you are going to need it.
New Take Off price was $999.00. Shipping to Louisiana automotive repair shop was $190 truck freight. Total $1189. Installation was $300 plus my rear pads were bad so I had the rotors turned and new pads put on which was another $100. Almost forgot about the pinion flange, $35 from Ford Parts warehouse but that was a discounted price.
