Default 1998 mustang gt cam question

I have a 98 gt with a cold air intake and full exhaust system. I would like to do the cams and thinking of going to stage 1 cam set up. I would like to end up with a nice lumpy idle, what are my options???

Thanks!

If you are going for lope then normally a stage 1 is more mild than anything but I myself recommend getting a lunati stage 2 or 3 high lift cam if you plan on staying n/a. really nice sound, long lope .

Op, no matter which stage of cam you choose, discuss with the company on what is required. The biggest problem is people choose a larger cam and run into piston to valve contact. You can retard the timing of the cam to prevent this on some cams but leave power on the table. Most stage 1 cams, if not all, will not have this contact. I have comp 270's in my car and have valve reliefs in the pistons to prevent contact. Comp's 262s will not have contact and the 268's might depending on were you degree them in at. There are other great companies out there with great cams, so shop around.
