RE: four eye conversion.
I will check condition of my 86 dash and console. Some trading may get involved. I will pm you if all works out. If don't hear from me by Friday. You will not be bothering me it just means I forgot. We will take this to pm or e-mail if works out. Thanks

RE: four eye conversion.
Well I can reveal more info. Went to Hazel Ky. Picked up a 93 rust free. Convertable. No front end and no motor or trans. Got to do some body work. Will have body man look at it. Looks like I bought another project. Pictures to come later. Too tired to post .

Project cars are better anyway. Makes you appreciate it more. All of my cars started off as projects with something wrong with them. I bought an '84 fiero for $50 with a blown engine like 6 years ago & still haven't touched it [8D]

RE: four eye conversion.
least it cant catch fire as easily that way
so could someone rehash the necessities for the swap from aero to 85/86 4 eye? bumper cover, headlights with mounting bezel thingy, hood and maybe fenders? i have a kinda ****ed up front end so i want to know what id need if i ever came across the right junker or parts for sale to do the swap.
another Q, anyone know if there is more or less room for intercooler mounting in the 4 eye type bumper compared to the aero? mine is a super tight fit in the aero but the 4 eye lx bumper looks like it would get good airflow if you could fit a decent intercooler or some kind of duct for a non front mount behind it.

RE: four eye conversion.
There's more intercooler space behind a 4 eye with the bumper removed, with bumper I'm not too sure. I'm basing this off of the checker grill (79-83) Not too sure about the 85-86 design. As far as width I'm not 100% sure if it's tall enough to hit the sides of the sunk in parts for the headlights, but there's more room further down without requiring cutting. If you attempt to run an intercooler the size of mine you'll have to cut with either front end, I had to take the bumper out, impact absorbers out, cut into the headlight bracket, & change the end tank design to make mine fit.
You need
-hood
-bumper cover
-bumper (if you choose to run the stock turn signal locations) -the two impact absorbers that the bumper mounts to (87-93 absorbers were slightly longer).
-headlights
-header panel (this is what the lights mount to & it's generally riveted to the bumper cover)
-headlight pigtails (or you can use spade connectors)
You do not need to change the fenders, but you will have to take the fender extensions (small plastic pieces at the front of the fender to make the 87-93 bumper cover look flush with the fenders) off & bondo over the holes or something.
If I remember anything that I might have missed I'll post it.
Here's an old pic from when I first got the core from the junkyard ($52 )
You can see how the turn signals are mounted in the bumper & I have one of the fender extensions bolted on the passenger side, drivers side is still off (have to drill holes to mount it)
