Lifter use push rods
followers follow the cam

All you need is the cam, followers, and backing plate.

You don't need the HLA btw

actualy, lifters are comparable to hla's (hydraulic lash adjustors). the followers are comparable to rocker arms. if your going to do a 2.3t swap id just set that money asside for that otherwise it just seems like a waste (in regards to porting or any high dollar mods).

Put in a RR cam, and go some porting on it. You might hit 100hp

The 8 plug head won't fit. It'll bolt down to the block fine but the intake is different and will get in the way of your distributor. Your car is a n/a 2.3. Don't throw money at it trying to make it fast. Theres no reason. MMFF put a massive amount of nitrous on one and were only able to break into the 16's before the motor blew.
