Default Where to start..

I just bought this 95 GT off of a guy who needed money for surgeries. I pretty much stole it for 2 grand, but he only wanted 25 hundred. The mess this thing is in is terrible, but pretty well kept on the outside.

I already put some time into cleaning it up but the previous owner took such terrible care of it. (ex: he owned it for 4 years and never changed the airfilter, only changed the 4 spark plugs he could reach, etc)

I aim to make this thing a monster but i have no idea where to start. I've thought either a k&n cold air intake or just get new headers back to an x-pipe.

Would you guys say that there is a better place to start? If so give me your opinions...

Cold air and exhaust would be good, you never know what is growing in that old airbox and inlet pipe

is it a 5speed, then I would say a short throw shifter
get a pair of subframe connectors to keep the body from flexing under acceleration.

+1 on the gears

gears, huh? give me some examples of what i should get. just to look around. i just want something that will be able to hold a lot in the future.
