just match ur rpm's between shifts and you'll be fine

I don't downshift to save brakes. Brakes are cheap.

The only time I downshift is when I'm doing some spirited driving. Coming into a corner that requires me to slow enough that the present gear will be too high after the corner. So I downshift which includes a blip of the throttle, brake, corner. Now the car is in a lower gear which is perfect for accelerating out of the corner.

I downshift all the time. I do that and use the brakes a bit too. Make them work together as a team.

i think its ok if you rev match, if you just let the clutch out, your def putting ecess wear on it, but i doubt its anything to be concerned about

I wish i could downshift..Damn automatics lol..The only time i have downshift is when im at work driving the tractor trailer...
