Default Overheating with A/C on in traffic????

I have a 1990 LX. It has a new Be Cool Aluminum radiator, but when the A/C is on while sitting in traffic the car will start to overheat. That is the only time it does it though. Any ideas?

Also when I start the car it makes a scratching sound, like the starer is still catching or something, does that mean the starter is bad?

Still have the shroud around fan? If yes, check clutch for fan. Scratching sound...is neighbor missing a cat?

Get your car up to temp, shut it off and see if you can freely spin the fan by hand. If it is easy to move, your clutch is DOA.

Replace fan clutch and enjoy your AC

Flexlite fan wired to some controller. The PO wired it up. The car gets hot, but doesn't overheat with A/C. Was told it was normal...
