Default sporadic beeping

hey guys im new to the forum and mustangs in general. i have an 88 gt and a small yet immensely annoying electrical problem. when the car and lights are on the noise that usually comes on while the keys are in the ignition and the door is open starts to beep but sporadically. all the doors will be shut completely and ill be sitting in the drivers seat and itll start beeping with no regular intervals and sometimes in viscious groupings then other times itll be quite for maybe 45 seconds, which is amazingly peaceful lol. i have been able to narrow it down to only while im in the drivers seat or when i go over bumps

any ideas?

if it's the door chime, sounds like a possible bad door switch or a wire to such chaffed/grounding out

thanks i had no clue where the chiming was coming from, it seemed like everywhere but i didnt think about it actually being the door. i'll check the button and see if thats functioning properly. if thts a dead end i'll disconnect the chime which is beneath the dash as a black box correct? also if i disconnect this will it effect any other aspects of the car?
