How do I test my maf harness at the maf plug???

You would by back probbing the signal wire and going by the specs at idle. Then the signal should raise with throttle.

What is the acceptable voltage range is, I have no idea.

Did the computer give you a code that it was out of range?

these directions arent making alot of sense to me!!!!

example first test is key off im geeting no voltage with key off!

but for test two i have no ohms

does this mean i have a bad maf and bad wiring???

By "no ohms" do you mean 0(ohms) resistance or OL (infinite resistance) which would mean the circuit has an open.


looking at the instructions you take one probe of your dvom on pin c the other on the negative terminal. you're checking for excessive resistance on the low side of the circuit. it statec it should be below 5ohms. if you have high resistance you would in turn have low voltage. Are you sure you're doing it right?

well i think im doing it right but when i try for resistance it has a little blip of Resistance then goes to zero

if i turn key on prob A and B i get 12.5 volts if prob A and C i get .5v does this mean i have a short in that wire???
