crank no start
Hey guys I need some help I have an issue with my 85 mustang 5.0 efi. When I got it I put a new gas tank in it and it started fine the idle was low about 200-300 rpm. Then it sat for a couple days and it wouldn't start . I then checked spark and I had a few wires that I did not have spark I changed the cap and rotor and I got spark but still a crank no start. I replaced the plugs and still the same I'm getting fuel I can see it in the throttle body spraying. I gave her a couple sniffs of starting fluid and still wouldn't fire. I'm at a loss here I would think if it were too far out of time it would back fire but it don't do that. It has a brand new air filter so I know I'm getting fuel spark and air I do need to do a compression test but I don't see it losing compression just sitting. While cranking you can see the valve train moving so I don't think the timing chain is broke if anybody has come across this please let me know what you did to remedy the problem. Or if I am missing something please let me know

Hmmm, if your sure you have gas, and spark on all 8 cylinders, then I'd do a compression test just for fun. I doubt it's bad, but will narrow this down.
I'm not familiar with the older Fox's EFI, there should be some access port to check fuel pressure. Do that and let us know what it is.
This motor wouldn't even fire once with the starting fliud ?
