MMR vs. Livernois Heads
Close to making the move on some stage 3 heads here in the next few months. I'm looking for some opinions on these two heads and wondering if anyones has any experience with them. Livernous has a better reputation but the MMRs seem like they would make more power and they are cheaper by a few hundred dollars. Heres links to the two different heads.

To see mmr heads go to products and then 2005-2010 mustang GT then scroll down

Screw the couple hundred bucks savings and screw MMR!
There are three threads right now on other forums where mmr heads have had issues in the valve train and caused complete failures...
The trouble is MMR doesn't understand metal combinations IMO. They are really big on using oversize inconel valves and running the stock guides which is a no-no. They don't use bronze guides in any of their heads and people have suffered the results of it.
Talk to Mike Schropp at Livernois and ask him what happend when they were originally testing their heads 3 years ago with big flow numbers with stock or SS guides...
I know of 5 cars personally that have had valve train issues on the MMR heads and not single livernois take a crap that I have heard of. Take that for what its' worth...
I also know of 6 MMR motors bite the dust and I haven't seen a Livernois motor crap out yet...
I am local to MMR and wouldn't buy oil from them personally. Worst than their products is the customer service nightmares I have seen people go through when they have issues with their products. Anyone who has dealt with Mike, Andy, or Rick at Livernois will tell you that you have nothing to worry about with them if something goes wrong cause they have your back. That's worth more to me than any savings IMO.
