2018 Mustang GT Gets Reviewed by Motor1

There are more gears and more power, but what does Motor 1 really think about the new Mustang GT?

It’s finally here, and we couldn’t be more excited. The 2018 Ford Mustang is making the review rounds, and everyone seems to be in love with the boost in power and the new design. We personally like the way it looks in pictures. Oh, and that Corvette-matching 460 horsepower is pretty great too. This latest review comes from the folks at Motor1, and we think it pretty much says it all.

You see, the journalist in this particular video is British. As most of you may know, with the exception of Richard Hammond, the majority of people in England (and Europe in general) don’t like American cars.

The S550 Mustang was the first one to ever be offered officially overseas, and success of the brand could depend heavily on the 2018 model. So this is more than just a review; it’s a review coming from people who traditionally don’t like Mustangs.

So what do the Brits think about America’s newest pony car? Thankfully, it seems like the reviewer is enjoying himself. Special notes go to the upgraded engine, and the 10-speed automatic transmission gets recognized for its smooth shifting. The increased fuel economy also seems to be a high point.

Most of all, it seems that the feel and excitement that makes the Mustang a special car carries on with this new model. Hearing it come from someone who isn’t an American makes this victory even sweeter. After all, the Mustang is part of America’s DNA; at this point, we’re practically bred to love this thing.

Bravo to Ford for making a car so good that not even the British can hate it. If you’re curious to see and hear more of that 5.0L V8, make sure to watch the whole video. You’ll be glad you did.
