Nothing quite says “Throwback Thursday” like a ‘60s or ‘70s Mustang TV ad. Nothing.
Perhaps it’s the voiceover for the commercials, which always seem to play out like some narrative for an old John Wayne Western, with the Duke riding off into the sunset. Or perhaps it’s the fact that a Mustang from the sixties or seventies has come to represent the epitome of American culture in practically every sense of the word.
Either way, we think this 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 commercial, uploaded to YouTube by ChargerDaytona, says it all.
Best line in the ad? “Mach 1, something scorching to keep Mustang the original and the front runner thundering along, far ahead of the pack.”
