Super Wheelie! Fox Body Goes Two-Wheeling

Here’s an example of how wheelie bars work, or rather the lack there of. This wild Fox Body was caught racing at Import VS Domestic races, and it sure did have a hard time keeping the front end down during some night passes.

Watch it launch hard and fast in the BigKleib34 vid below. Unfortunately, the driver was only able to see the moon and the stars as he left the gate. Sadly it was just too much to put down a good time, especially after a second attempt at throttle resulted in the same wheelie.

The next day it was a much different story with a race against a Supra. When it was able to hook, a 7.66 second pass at 181 miles per hour was laid down. The Fox Body still pulled a pretty impressive wheelie, but this time not quite as high of an angle. This wheelie was simply well held for a good length of the track as the car tracked straight and true. That run was more than enough to embarrass the Supra, which was over a second slower.

With those kind of times, we’d love to know what’s under the hood of this Mustang!
