Supercharged Mustang Shows Porsche 911 Who’s the Boss

It might not be a fair fight, especially when you have a 250-horsepower advantage, but it’s fun to see this GT pull away from a Porsche 911 like it’s in reverse.

Roush superchargers. They make quite a bit of power on top of the Mustang GT’s already potent 5.0 liter V8. Kits come in various stages and levels of madness, but for this test, 670 horsepower is on tap from the humble Stage 1 option. It’s their entry point into Roush supercharging, and it’s so well put together that Ford will still honor the factory warranty.

Porsche 911

YouTube vlogger Nick Murray decided he’d have this Mustang go head-to-head with his personal Porsche 911, A 991 C4S. With 425 horsepower available, the Porsche certainly is no slouch, and no one is going to accuse it of being slow. But the disparity in power is so great, that a defeat is imminent.

Evidence of a speed disparity is proven rather quickly, with the Porsche caught off guard in the first roll race. It appeared as though three car lengths were instantly to the advantage of the Mustang. With round two, a better gear was chosen for the Porsche 911’s start, and this proved to be a bit closer.

“Once we get over 100 miles per hour, he’s got me. But for a little while there, I hung with him!” Nick was humbled by the Roush supercharged Mustang, noting there’s always something out there that’s faster than your ride.
