Barn Find: ’69 Shelby GT500 Cobra Jet with 8,500 Original Miles

A mint condition, 1969, Shelby Mustang GT500 Cobra Jet discovered in the garage of a recently deceased man will soon be going to auction. Though it was covered in dust, the mustang clocked only 8,500 miles on the odometer. Due to the the car’s rareness–there were only about 1,000 ever made–people are expecting it to do quite well on the auction block.

2015 Mustang Cobra Jet Confirmed

It appears that our assumptions were right about Ford and the Cobra Jet program.
Contrary to rumors, Ford will not be shifting the drag racing special to the Ford Fusion or Taurus for the 2015 model year as first speculated by Hot Rod magazine.
Mustangs Daily spoke to Ford Racing head Jamie Allison who told the new source, the “Mustang and Cobra Jet are inseparable.”

Cobra Jet Manifold VS Boss 302 Dyno Test

Everybody’s been dying to know how the new Cobra Jet intake manifold/throttle body upgrade for the 2011+ Coyote engines stacks up against the tried and true BOSS 302 intake manifold/throttle body combo. Well, here’s some dyno proof the CJ intake/TB combo is the real deal. Judging by the numbers this Coyote is putting down we’d guess it has ported heads and cams in addition to the standard array of bolt-ons.
