Dang I am glad I ventured to the V6 side of the world. I have been trying to dig some info on these for awhile.

How glossy are these? I am going to be adding a honeycomb blackout panel and a cdc chin spoiler to go along with my shaker hood and I want them all to match. I am worried from the pics I have seen the MRT ones might be to glossy.

How do they hinge yet stick with tape? I am trying to picture how this all works and how secure they would be on the car.

And I know this is a total matter of opinion but does everyone agree the plastic ones do not look near as good? I was thinking the plastic might match the panel better and save me some cash. I have yet to see any of these in person though.

They look so damn good though. It would really complete my retro theme.

Also how much do the MRT ones weigh?
In my opinion they are not glossy... they are more flat black. My stripes are flat black and I have the black V6 rocker panels along with the black chin spoiler... it all ties together nicely.. IMHO...

As far as the plastic ones... did not care for them at all... the MRT ones looked much better... again, IMHO... LOL!

As far as weight... they are actually pretty darn light.. not sure their weight though...

Now as far as how they work... Yes, there are 4 brackets that are 3M taped to the top of the window, 2 hinges and 2 "fingers". There are also 2 posts that get attached at the bottom of the window. The louvers latch to the posts... This allow you to easily lift the louvers to clean your window... I've had my louvers on for almost a year... no issues and no sign of the 3M loosening up...

Here is my write up on the install, including pictures...

The MRT aluminum louvers definitely look better than the plastic .... I know ... I have the plastic. I can say that the Plastic due look better at some angles and worse at others. The picture I posted above makes them look bad. I have gotten compliments on them though. Someday I'll get the aluminum ... just isn't in the budger right now ... I still need to get a Tuner and want to convert my exhaust to duals ....

I really like these louvers as well. They do complete the retro look that so many of us admire.....This is the set I am holding out for....
