I bought mine off of ebay for 149 in the factory packaging. Be careful though, the steering wheel on a 2005 is a little different than the 2006-07 models. I was told that the mounting was slightly different and not safely compatable. If I am in error on this, please tell me.

Thanks for all the advice. I am waiting for it to arrive, and hopefully will install it this weekend.

just too risky for my taste playing with the airbag...not a safe thing, leave that with the dealer pay them the 50 bux to do it

It went in without a problem. Afixer linked the directions to deactivating the air bag and the removal process earlier in this post. I followed the directions provided and I had the help of a friend of mine who is a Ford mechanic. He had me do the work. He was just there for "moral support". The directions provided are the same ones he uses at work.
