07 SHELBY LIP

RE: 07 SHELBY LIP
Simple instructions.
I just put the factory Shelby lip on my car. The factory one has 3 "extensions" on top side. All you do is cut the two side extensions off with a sawzall, then use a rotary sander to sand flush. Mask it off w/ painter tape to protect it. BE CAREFUL! Leave about an inch of either one on each side next to the middle. Hold the spoiler up to front of car, you'll see what I'm talking about. Once it is flush on both sides, use two clamps to hold it to car. You will see some holes in bottom of spoiler that match up with your underpan rivets on car. The perfect fit is when the rivets are way to the front side of holes. Now look from front and adjust as necessary. The pebbly spoiler surface should lineup w/ your car bumper.Don't worry about wheel wells, they will look bad..about an inch off...don't worry, you'll fix later. Then drill holes in bottom of bumper and attach using outside two stock shelby holes on each end. 5/16 x 1 bolts work fine. Bend a fender washer for use on inside curve of bumper or else you'll get a nasty bulge. Then drill 3 holes in center part and attach/bolts to your car beneath grill. This will snug it up. Plug rest of holes w/ interior trim plugs. Then use a heat gun to heat side pieces so they mold into wheel well. Use stock screws to attach (you'll have to drill holes). Not too hard to do.
