Does anyone know how much the full Saleen Kit is including the new placement of the exhaust to the center? Adds in Modified Mustangs and even on the Saleen website say Full Kit: $1,599 but i cant believe that everything is that cheap. anyone know something I dont?

$1599 is retail for the body parts without the exhaust. Retail on the exhaust is another $999. You can find a slightly better price than that on a package deal some place like HMS, but I think I'd forget about the Saleen exhaust, visit a muffler shop and get something that sounds better for about 1/4 the price.

i was thinking about not doing the exhaust but i didnt want to ruin the rear bumper look of the saleen kit.

EricM did you forget about the center exhaust and just go for a better aftermarket exhaust system? do you have pictures of the back of your car?

Mine's a real S281, and it's stock right now. It's nothing special when it comes to sound.

Like I said, a muffler shop should be able to easily build you something that looks like the Saleen exhaust. It's basically just a crosspipe between the mufflers with the tips coming off that out that back. Probably $75 worth of parts and an hour or two labor to put it together.

i was looking at the picture of the saleen exhaust just out of curiousity and it looked like there were two small openings at the end of the cats before it went to the center exhaust tips..

is that right?

There are some exhaust dumps on the end of the mufflers, so some of the exhaust exits through the tips, some through the dumps

Also the cheapest I've seen the full kit w/ exhaust is $2000 at Stage 3 Motorsports.
