Thinking About a Ducktail Wing - A Question
#12
Well what did you end up going with?
Ive heard the cervini requires real good prep prior to painting due to mold release or you will have paint issues.
The only way to cover factory holes w/o the spoiler doin it is to have a body shop fill and paint.
BTW - I dont think a ducktail is a "wing" type spoiler. I think its considered a "lip" type spoiler.

So, all that combined, I've backburnered the Ducktail...for now.

Or the windows are down and the whine from the S/C and the sound from the side exhaust are kicking as I hear nothing but motor!
Or the windows r up and at 80+mph I am too busy concentrating on the road and sound of the motor (to hear when to shift next). It should be solved with a shift light
so no sound on my end!

jvecero3, sorry you didnt get the ducktail as I think they look better than the stock wing. I have no spoiler myself but may one day desire a change.
As for $500 for a ducktail - I got a set of Agent47 side mirrors that ended up costing that much once they were painted so its all relative.

Really, what it came down to is that fact that I just didn't feel like spending that kind of money right now.

I just ordered this spoiler.
http://www.eliteautostyling.com/imag.../wtfoabs01.jpg which comes prepainted for $250. I will be installing it next couple of weeks. The paint looks like a perfect match, and it uses two of the existing spoiler holes from the GT spoiler, and covers the other two holes.

[IMG][IMG][/IMG][/IMG] I picked up a used deck lid and having the body shop install this 1 piece Ducktail by LNR/BBR. It bolts directly where the factory spoiler did but Im having them mold the seems with Dura Glass for a clean look! Il post some more pics in about a week.
