No hood pins?
So im really looking for anew hood for the stang but i dont want the hood pins, alot of what i look at like the cervini's 67' hood or tru fiber GT hood (similiar to cervini's) have the hood pins and require them. Soooo, is there any type of hoods around these styles that dont need hood pins? i dont want stick ons either? Any suggestions? Thanks

No, you don't. They come seperate or as a package. Hood Struts are a gas shock type lifter and available through many different manufacturers. They are a nice way to get rid of the steel rod that you have on stock Mustangs that keeps the hood up.

I just put on Cervini's ram air hood without pins, I'm really not fond of the look of them. They are not actually needed because our cars have a built in safety latch after the primary latch is released. What's really important is to make sure the 4 rubber bumpers under the hood are applying enough upward pressure to the hood when it is locked so it doesn't wiggle around.

I have the WMS stealth hood pins. They are very well made and fit nicely. The only downside is that the handle pull to release hood is really hard now and I'm afraid the cable might break at some point.
Someone wrote in another thread that they might not be very good for fiberglass hoods since the screws don't really have much to hold on to. It's a non-issue for me because I have the stock hood and if I ever replace it with another hood it's going to be the metal Foose hood with the shaker cutout.
The hood has no shake at all anymore, even at top speed.
Here are some pics of how they look installed:
