I totally agree on Fred making a pitch or telling what the price is...
If Brenspeed wants to be competetive then the prices need to be there, and if Brent knows that Fred is $100 less than maybe Brent will reduce his prices to compete...EVERYBODY WINS!!

I will say that I do wish evolutionperformance had a more comprehensive website with available parts and prices...but I'm guessing they're working on that.

I saw if there's vendors out there...ESPECIALLY MF Preferred Sponsor vendors...then they absolutely SHOULD post deals and sales and all that good stuff..make thing easier for everyone...

I did talk to Fred today... who was really helpful with my dumb *** questions and whatnot... If I had called him and he was some sneaky business man just looking for a quick buck and didnt seem to care about customers then I would have told him to have a nice day, hung up on him and called Brent...

Business is business... Fred takes the time to come to the forums and announce deals and talk to the customers.. You have to commend that.. I dont believe that it is stealing business at all...Naturally if you have 2 same apples and one costs more than the other you are going to pick the more cost effective apple...

Kudos to Fred for offering his services. The MF Sponsors are the backbone of this site and without them, we wouldn't even be here so let's not flame them.

Having said that - Fred, I have no problem with you sending him a PM, I think it may have been wiser though not to announce the PM within this thread. It may have been better just to post what your current specials are on this particular product and everyone would have gotten the drift on the price savings... JMO and something to think about.

MEMBERS - MF sponsors are paying to be here to make money. Although I don't condone 'hijacking' threads, I think a sponsor making a sales pitch within a thread is perfectly acceptable if it's done as an open forum and addressed to all.

I'm not an admin and I have no afiliations with any mf sponsors so I just call it like I see it. I don't recall anyone posting brenspeed was the best thing next to sliced bread. The concensus amoung the pros has always been to use a custom tuner and if you don't have one in your area then a mail order tune company is your LAST resort. If you have to use a mail order tune company, then I would suggest you do the legwork and ask them LOTS of questions. Specifically what are the different set-ups they have and what tunes have they provided for your specific mods and what power gains were the seeing. All mail order tuners operate the same way by testing tune on similiar set-up cars so finding one with the most experience and power gains success with your set-up should be the key... just my 50 cents...[sm=alcoholic.gif]

 

Hi everybody great post you have going here. I think it is great there are other companies doing tuning. I also believe there should be about 5 good companies out there to support the Mustang which is the #1 selling domestic performance car on the market. My wife surfs the forums for me now and again as my current customers know we are really slammed right now. We have been moving into our new shop and that is taking about every spare minute of our time.

As for price here is my take. My price is my price and I have no future plans of getting into a price war with any company. I spend thousands of dollars on R&D testing our tunes and trying to offer the best customer service possible. Because of this I feel my price is fair and what I feel it should be. It is higher than some and less than others but you are not just paying for a intake and tune when you buy your parts from us. You are paying for the brains behind your car, experience, customer service, and support after the fact.

So that is my take. You wont see our prices change because our service is not going to change. Brenspeed supplies more than just programs. We
stock and test every part we sell and offer them at the lowest price we can. With any business if you drive your price down service will eventually degrade as you are not willing to go out on the limb for a customer. I am very happy where Brenspeed is at in the performance market and we have never lied or treated customer or companies wrong. We will continue to do the best for your guys and offer the best technical help and prices we can.

Fred was on the phone with me at 10pm helping me tweak the tune on my Stang, can't complain 'bout that...then again others might've had the same experience with Brenspeed...I dunno. He11, I can't go 3 mins on this forum without hearing something about Brenspeeds great customer service! [8D]

It's obvious that either route will get you great performance as there are happy customers on both sides...just comes down to your choice...hey it's your hard earned cash!
