I had a dealer recently pushing me to place an order rather than try to find a mustang to fit my wants. She emailed and said place an order, you'll get it in about 8 weeks. I asked what differences there would be between the 06 and 07's, if the price was different, etc, wondering if I should order an 06 or 07. She writes back and says this is for an 07, no more 06's can be ordered. I say, I can get an 07 in 8 weeks? she says "yep".

!?!

I'm having a tough time buying this, as another dealer had said probably august at the earliest for an 07.

Anyone else order recently?

I placed an order March 29 for a 2006. No build date yet, of course. Usually they shut down the lines for retooling in late may or early June. 2007's won't start coming out till August or sept.

I think your dealer is confused, but I will let everyone know if I end up with no car by summer.....

An 07 in 8 weeks???? ...from when??? We (and dealers) don't even have all the spec options & prices yet; Everything I've seen is sketchy; See if you can get a brochure from Ford (they'll even put your name on it) I might try that as well as I'd love to see the specifics of the options/selections etc. ...really doubt you can get one yet but if you go to the web site you'll find out. If anyone has more info on 07 availability please let us know.

I just checked the Ford web site; nothing on 2007; you just know the salesperson at the dealership will be so clueless.

2007 Job One scheduled for June 5th.

I ordered a Grabber Orange GT Premium.

Spec sheets are out, prices are a few weeks away though.

Spec sheets meaning all option combinations and such? Now, the dealer is saying you will get the car when?

Dealers not sure about delivery. The Job 1 date is from Ford employees at the blue oval forums. And yes, the spec sheets have all of the option information listed.
