Default Found my missfire

Well I finally have an answer to what's been causing my high rpm misfire. apparently I have a bad head/valve problem that has damaged the cam and must be replaced. I told the ford rep that I wanted a new engine vs opening up a low milage motor but was informed ford will replace whats damaged nothing more nothing less and if this doesn't solve the matter they may buy the car back. Well I told him thats just fine but the reason I purchased the car was because of the color and that it matches its stable mate a 01 GT. Well I'm sorry was all I got from a guy that represents the one car mfg that I've always supported since I was 17. I guess I'll accept the results even though I won't like it. It seems that trouble always comes in pairs seeing that I just got the car back from painters due to the hail strom that got me while at work now the car gets returned to the dealer next Wed for the new head and cam. Happy days will come to those with happy thoughts

Default RE: Found my missfire

I have had a misfire before changing to higher octane gas now she runs stronger and no ping. I'm running the 87 tune with the 93 gas and it runs like an ****-off ape in the jungle.
