Default A couple of questions

I've had my 06 GT about a month now and have been loving every minute of it. There are a couple of things bothering me and I thought I would ask you all if you had these issues.

1) Brake fluid reservoir seems to be seeping at the split line, not enough to make a mess or lower the level but enough to be visible. Thinking it just might be residual I've wiped it down 3 times now but keeps coming back. I guess if it continues I'll take it in. Anybody else have this?
2) Rust. The harmonic balancer is a rusty mess, very unsightly. Is this anything to worry about? Seems odd for a brand new car.
3) Being bored one day I decided to crawl under my car and just look around. More rust. Rear axles and brackets are rusty. Even the exhaust tubes from the cats back to the mufflers are showing signs of rust, I thought this was stainless steel.

Anyway I know these are minor issues but just curious if any of you guys/gals out there have experienced this.

Thanks for the feedback

GT,
Yep. Same thing on the brake fluid resevoir. I think I remember seeing a post awhile back where someone actually took their Daughter's headband and put around it

Yep, Same thing on the harmonic balancer. Pisses me off every time I open the hood.

Axles and exhaust, I'll find out Friday when I install the new axlebacks......

I have the same problem with the brake fluid and Ford only put stainless steel tips on the exhaust. The rest of the exhaust is just cheap metal that will rust. That is another reason to upgrade to a full stainless exhaust.

Everyone has the same issues with the weeping and surface rust.
The exhaust is all stainless, and yes 304 and 409 stainless does rust - only 316 does not, which would be a little brittle for car parts.

So a seeping brake reservoir is normal? Has anyone taken it to the dealer and had it replaced? I don't think something as important as brake fluid should be leaking. Do you?
