LOL my parents are really lucky cause we still live in the same house we bought back in 90' and I think my parents paid around $350,000 for it, and since we have added a pool, and about a year ago we completly remodled the house, so if they ever sell it, they will be VERY happy for what they get for it
!! My neighbor moved about a year ago and they sold their house for $950,000 and they didn't have a pool and almost everything was from the original house.

HELLO TO Orange County! I will be moving out to OC around Irvine, Newport Beach area in July, Hopefully. I will be able to meet with some of the mustang owners and have a meet in SOCAL somtime in the future.
What's up Peter?
I live in San Diego and own a '06 GT. Let me first tell you that they (Police) can be very strict. On thing that you must do is for every legal modification that you do on your car
you should have the C.A.R.B. decal displayed in your engine bay in case of an impromptu inspection. The decal is from the manufacturer telling the powers that be it's legal. Let me
tell you what's illegal in Cali: X pipes, long tube headers, nitros and removing the cats. I'm sure there a few other ones but those are the ones that stick out. I work for ABC news
and have done a few stories on street racing. First and foremost DO NOT drag race in California. The police will take your car and sell it at auction....this is no joke. There has been numerous deaths due to drag racing here in the San Diego area. About two years ago two guys were drag racing. One driver had a "69 Cuda the other I believe was a Camaro. In their state of testoterone one racer broadsided another motorist killing a young couple. One racer stopped at the scene the other took off. The driver that stopped was sentenced to four years the other racer that fleed was given seven years in prison for double vehicular homicide. I covered the story for my station. Peter if it sounds like I'm trying to scare you I am. I'm 45 years old and grew up in Detroit where horsepower was king. I've seen more than my share of street racing and yes it's in my blood but it's not worth the risk of life.
As far as the supercharger, they are LEGAL in California. I just picked my car up from the dealership last week and they were putting a supercharger on a '06 Stang. The main thing in Cali is to pass emissions. They're many people that run X pipes, long tube headers and nitros but I can assure you before they take their car in for smog they take that
stuff off.
Sorry if I preached too much. Welcome to Cali in advance and enjoy that Stang.

Where in Orange County will you be moving? I live in Orange, which is right next to Anaheim. The laws are not too bad, superchargers are fine, and cops don't really care about tinted windows and stickers and that stuff. If you get caught racing though, that could be bad, not sure how bad though.

Other than that, what BangaStang said. You make loud VROOM VROOMs next to the coppers, they'll want to sniff around. So far, I haven't been pulled over. But I'm expecting to get pulled over for my front license plate, sooner or later.
Thanks BangaStang. As far as emissions laws, Florida is as careless as they come. Cops are not as plentiful here either. street racing in my area does not occur to much as I am on the west cost. I wanted a little more juice in my car, that's why I wanted to supercharge it. Yes, I do enjoy a quick street race from time to time, but It's not a good Idea anywhere you are. As you said bad things can happen and I am sure we are all aware of that. I appreciate the heads up with all the MOD laws involved. Hope to meet some of you out there.
Living in Cali and all, I know it's highly illegal, but I think I want to install off road x pipes.... Has anyone from Cali had a problem with this? The car is new so it doesn't need smog for 4 years, and I doubt a cop is going to crawl under the car to see if there are Cats on it.... What do you think?? I'm about 95% inclined to say f*ck the law and go for the sound and performance.....
