Laura just curious with all those vehicles and being that you and your husband spent 2400 on the rental, just what do you do for a living?

LOL.....reminds me of Kid Rock when he was in JOE DIRT. These morons driving around unable to get a handle on the power and whaaam, innocent lives taken all over the place. I'm sure it won't last really long, especially if they rent to just anyone.

Rental rates seem to vary a lot. I have one next week in Ft. Lauderdale for $90/day. Up in Boston it would have been $170.

Renting a Shelby for that long of a trip (miles AND days) is crazy. But, it was the vacation we took this year and my husband and I both come from a long line a auto lovers and when he heard the Shelbys were out...well, he just really wanted that car so I did what I could to make it happen. We're in San Diego, so-cal was sold out of them - Portland and Seattle didn't even have them yet, so we went to Vegas to start our trip. Somethings you just have to justify -- and when your husband has the look of a little boy the day before Christmas...well, how can you deny that?!
My husband is a contractor with his own company....no Rockefellers here, just good planners.
