So, my PIONEER unit has been working great for over 2000 miles now. The sound is great and the functionality is outstanding. And there is nothing like a long trip and making it shorter by throwing in a DVD...
No problems here....
In other news...
I have a XM MiFi that is home and auto portable... I used to use it in both cars, but now I just have the kit in my WRX and my house.

RE: Quick Question on Satellite Radio
I have my Roady installed with the Pro Fit bracket and it works quite well. It sticks out a bit farther than I like but I think they did it so you wouldn't loose easy access to the right side of the stereo. After a short while I got used to it there and actually on this last long road trip took I liked how I could change channels without looking and with my elbow still resting on the armrest, so it was good for that.
I also used the XM Modulator kit that is available and would recommend it if you don't use the PIE or IPOD2CAR.

RE: Quick Question on Satellite Radio
I have the Sirius StarLite with a built in FM modulator, it's great. However I do have it pluged into the power outlet on the dash, and would like to hardwire it into the fuse box. If anyone knows how to do that and wouldn't mind sharing I would be greatful.

RE: Quick Question on Satellite Radio
I went and bought a Kenwood head unit and bought the XM adapter. This really improved the sound quality of the whole system. In the other car, I bought a Delphi inline FM modulator. The antenna plugs into it and it plugs into your head unit. It also provides power to your satellite reciever and has the wire that goes into the reciever for sound. I wired it up to the fuse box so it would turn on and off with the key. This setup cost about $50 and sounds great with no interference from any radio station no matter where you go.

RE: Quick Question on Satellite Radio
I also installed the pro-fit bracket and yes it does stick out further then I would like , but it still makes for a clean install. I had been using the PIE AUX in adapter but the sound quality wasnt that great for the $99 and the RCA's were too think to get to fit behind the dash trim. So I just got the FM modulator kit with the hard wire power kit for the roady unit. Sound quality is good and I get no interference for normal FM channels. Maybe in the future Ill get an indash DVD player w/ an XM tuner, but for now my money goes to performance parts!!
