Hello,

I am a new owner and can't seem to figure out what the little slotted area near the map light is?? Is it a tweeter?

I believe you are talking about the two small round openings? If so, those are the motion sensors for the active alarm system. If you're not sure if your car is equipped with it, lock the car with the key fob and lean through the open window to get something out of the arm rest. That'll trip mine every time (but only with the top up).

Open your door , lock the door with fob while its open and with the window down , shut the door , then reach inside.
