A/C on or off

RE: A/C on or off
In TX, mine is only off from about mid November to mid March! Otherwise it stays on, and I shutdown the car with it on.
There is a delay on the compressor when you start the car. Unlike older cars where if it was on it tried to engage with the engine turning over. Not true today. The computer controls the A/C and after the engine is started and running fine will the A/C clutch engage.
Also, if you are on the highway, and go WOT, the computer shuts down the A/C compressor.
Thx,
Mike

When you turn your car off. Do you turn the A/C off or turn off the car while it's still on?

RE: A/C on or off
Never heard so much hoohaa before!
If you turn off the A/C before shutting off your car you only get bad smelling air into the car. And it's not "wetter air". Air coming in from A/C is always DRY! That's why you use the A/C in humid weather.
The new Mustang is not some old antique but reasonable up to date. Having to shut off the A/C before turning off the car is just being way to ****! If it breaks take it back!
