Default 07 Plenum Cover Questions

Hey guys,

Sorry for posting another thread about this but I still am not 100% sure on this after reading the topics. I have an 05 base Saleen and I just got the cover in last night. I want to get it installed but I guess I have to change out some of the bolts? What exactly is it that I need and how do I install it. I didn't get any instructions or bolts or anything else just the cover itself. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

You need two bolts and two nuts.. the rear gets held down by clips ( you will see when you do it )

sorry no numbers on the bolts/ ask Ken at www.fordparts.com (send a e-mail after going to site )

he will HOOK you up.. he did me on the 1rst try..

it looks good btw..

Found my instructions, there's no copyright, so here you go! I drive an '05, but I can't imagine it changed much... took me a whole 5 min to do...and I'm a pretty lousy mechanic...

Thanks guys! I'll post some pics when I get it installed. It looks like the best engine cover imo, besides the Saleen supercharger which hopefully I'll be getting soon.

Saleen,
Did you get the Ford cover, or the Midwest Auto cover. I think the two are being confused here......

I got the Ford cover. But I think I just pop off those tabs/clips that hold down whatever line it is, put the cover over the stud and then cap the stud again. And I'm guessing the new bolts/nuts are for where the intake manifold connects to the throttle body if I remember correctly...

I ordered the bolt kit that everyone was saying you needed to add the cover to my 06. I found that the studs were in correct. I took a 1/4 inch drill bit and reemed out the two front neck washers that are incorporated in the rubber grommets. Then used the oringinal studs. Worked perfectly. The rear section is held down by the nuts atop the studs that hold the injector rail. The Midwest cover requires nothing more then bolt loosening and then retightening. I own both covers.
