I posted part of that cure in that thread. It is just the common sense stuff. adjust the front stops up just high enough where the hood is still in alignment but not higher than the fenders. Then loosen the bolts on the catch and lower it to the stop. This helped mine quite a bit. However, after having my hood pop to the safety catch on a 1/4 mile run, I decidedto just install pins anyway. I'm not crazy about the look but I'm less crazy about smashing windshields, fenders, hinges and roofs. I've had that happen on a different car. It's no fun and very expensive. -Joe

Since most of hood shake is caused by speeding, pin it! After all, S197 was designed with retro look of the past stangs in mind, right?

my hood never did to often as it is but when it did it would drive me nutz... I went to ford and they couldn't do anything that I couldn't do so I put hood pins on and well I like the look and the pins helped out. I just did it as more of a protective mesure but when it would normally start to shake it doesn't no more
